Samsung M8800 Pixon

The Samsung M8800 Pixon ("pics on") was officially unveiled today, rocking out with its 8 megapixel autofocus camera. This shooter also sports anti-shake technology, face and smile detection, a dual-LED flash, and a slough of other imaging enhancements. For those that prefer their pictures moving, the Pixon can
also record 30fps video at 720x480 resolution as well as 120fps slow-motion video at 320x240 resolution. The large 3.2" touchscreen display should also add to an overall great photo-taking experience.

The Samsung M8800 Pixon is well connected, with quad-band GSM (850/900/1800/1900MHz) support and 2100MHz 3G HSDPA data support for super-fast downloads. The Pixon measures 107.9mm x 54.6mm x 13.8mm (4.2" x 2.1" x .5") in size and includes an accelerometer, which should make perusing through your
photos a pleasant experience.

Sony Ericsson G705 Phone

The G705 will hit the US sometime in Q1 next year, although those residing in other territories will be able to get their hands on this puppy a quarter earlier. Interesting, but definitely nothing new nor groundbreaking.

Sony Ericsson G705: The device is another of the cellphone maker's 3.2-megapixel slider camera phones but is fairly unique among Sony Ericsson phones in supporting full HTML web browsing as well as an iPhone-like
tilt sensor that auto-rotates to landscape view. The handset also combines its HSDPA-based 3G access with Wi-Fi to produce full-speed Internet access indoors and will be one of the first Sony Ericsson phones to gain native YouTube support for both uploads and downloads; more information will be available later, the
company says.

LG Prada 2

LG Prada II: According to the press release that was unfortunately leaked (for some, anyway) the design team at Prada will be more involved in the UI design of the handset, plus will be adding some catwalk-approved themes, ringtones and accessories for the Prada II handset.

LG has once again collaborated with fashion house Prada to launch the dubbed Prada II handset. The new device features an absolutely astounding lineup, including a full Qwerty keyboard, 7.2Mbps (yes, that's
7.2Mbps) HSDPA and a stunning 3-inch WQVA 400x240 pixel touchscreen. Also thrown into the new LG/Prada offering is a 5-megapixel camera, with a flash and autofocus we are desperately hoping, and full HTML web browsing.

Nokia 3610

Nokia 3610 Fold clamshell is a close but entry-level cousin to the 3555 and similar phones with a near-seamless back claimed to be more comfortable than on normal flip phones. It won’t take your breath away in terms of interesting features, but it does possess the kind of charm that warrants a second look.

A 1.3-megapixel camera and Bluetooth put it above previous budget phones that often strip out one or both features. A two-inch 240x320 resolution screen is found inside, while a 1.36-inch display provides basic call
info on the outside. File storage is handled by 30MB of built-in memory and can be expanded with microSD cards up to 4GB in size.

The 3610 is available in blue, red, rose and green, with pricing set at 125 Euros ($186) before carrier discounts. While a North American release has not yet been announced, the 3610 Fold supports 850MHz calling and basic data necessary in North America and is likely to appear in the region when it ships
sometime during the summer.

Sony Ericsson R300 Radio

Sony Ericsson R306 is the second model in the R series. It comes in clam shell form factor and has an interesting and unusual keyboard, something Sony Ericsson often puts in their flip phones. Compared to the R300, it has a slightly bigger display and a more powerful camera, but still runs on the same old software platform.

As for the design, R306 also has a stylized radio receiver on the back with all the additional buttons necessary for controlling it. The reflective cover does look good, but it’s very prone to finger marks. There’s also a small monochrome display that is enough for displaying station info or the number of the caller; it is visible in almost all lighting conditions.
