Lenovo has surprised the spectators once again by introducing a new model onto the web without any fanfare. This Lenovo baby is called IdeaPad U260, which comes with an interesting new chassis. Aimed at portability, U260 comes with no optical drive, ULV Core i3/i5 processors, and only a 4-cell battery option. However, Lenovo made a few compromises – the unit only has two USB 2.0 ports and no ExpressCard slot.
The IdeaPad U260 is powered by up to an Intel Core i7 processor which delivers an impressive performance and long battery life. It can be configured with up to 320GB of hard drive storage or up to 128GB of SSD flash-based storage. Since it offers up to 4GB of DDR3 memory, the user can seamlessly browse multiple web pages and make use of different applications. You’ll also enjoy U260’s Breathable Keyboard and an Intel Advanced Cooling Technology which lets your PC run cooler and maintain spill resistance. To protect users’ eyes, ambient light sensors which automatically adjust screen brightness based on lighting conditions, are also used.
Moreover, Lenovo U260 is also outfitted with the company’s Active Protection System which protects the hard disk drive from shocks. For comfort and support while upholding luxury, the unit comes with soft, black leather-patterned palm rest. Its durable, silky smooth glass touchpad delivers the right resistance for multi-touch functionality. For people looking for ‘pop’ in wardrobe, U260 is offered in clementine orange or mocha brown. Take pride in owning the world’s first 12.5-inch Slimbook laptop.
