Intel's venerable X-25M series SSDs started the kick for SSD market, and now it'll be succeeded by the next generation of 'highly acclaimed' NAND from Intel, called the new SSD 320 Series. These NANDs are the new 25nm Intel NAND flash memory, and ranges from 40GB to 160GB for typical users like me and you, unless you're some high profiler from the corporate sector that needs more capacity, and then there are the 300GB and 600GB models, which might kill the wallet of typical Joes and Jane, despite Intel claiming that these new drives are about 30-percent cheaper than the previous generation. For your info, the new SSD 320 Series drives are priced from just $89 for 40GB to $1,069 for that 600GB drive. Head over to Anand's site for the early review here.
