Phone storage improved thanks to Scots

The Scots have a really nice accent, which I first fell in love when I watched Braveheart all those years ago as swashbuckling William Wallace slaughtered all the English with his leadership and tactical nous on the battlefields. The Scots are still as patriotic as ever, and they have fueled their passion (at least a group of researchers here) to develop a device which improves memory storage for technology, where among the potential candidates would be MP3 players, portable media players, smartphones and digital cameras. The device will rely on a small mechanical arm to translate data into electrical signals, which results in faster operation and sips less juice compared to conventional memory storage products. Data is recorded by measuring the current passing through a carbon nanotube, where the binary value of the data will be determined by an electrode that controls the flow of current. Hopefully this is stable enough for everyday use, and reliable considering the working mechanisms inside.
