Xperia Neo - Sony Ericsson's cheapest Android smartphone from the 2011 line-up - has not been officially announced for North America.
However, the FCC has just approved the Neo to work on the UMTS II and UMTS V bands (1900MHz and 850MHz), which means the handset could be launched by AT&T in the US, or by any of the big three Canadian carriers (Rogers, Telus, Bell).
The approval comes not long after the European version of the Neo showed up at the FCC.
