LG Optimus 2X, one of the world's first dual-core smartphones, is now available in Australia - not long before it's set to hit the UK, and the US (where T-Mobile rebranded it as T-Mobile G2X).
The handset hasn't been launched by any carrier yet, so it can be bought only unlocked, from MobiCity, which offers it for 799 Australian dollars (about 820 USD).
For that kind of money, you get Android 2.2 (upgradeable to Android 2.3), a 4 inch WVGA display, HSPA, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, DLNA, HDMI, 8MP camera, 1080p video recording (@24fps), 8GB of on-board memory, and an Nvidia Tegra 2 chipset.
As previously reported, LG should also launch the Optimus 3D and Optimus Black in Australia sometime soon.
