Review Summary:

D3100 become the new Nikon DSLR entry-level.D3100 this is the first Nikon DX sensor camera to push past 12.3 megapixel resolution, will be 14.2 megapixels along with the EXPEED 2 technology and full HD video processing with automatic AF. The range extends to the original ISO sensitivity 100-3200, expanded to 12,800 - D3000 managed 100 to 1600, extended until 3200. AF system 11-point of the D3000 is retained, and nod to customers in the D3100's entry-level, Mode Guide has been "perfected" to now provide samples to help the image that changes with the camera settings so that novice users can better visualize the impact on the final product, or helping them to the camera settings that will provide images that they have in mind.
There is a fairly complete suite of choice for in-camera image retouching and quiet shutter settings. This camera is offered in kit form adapted to the AF-S VR 18-55mm (stabilized) zoom lens, covering an area approximately 27 to 83mm focal range equivalent of 35mm.

Nikon has announced the D3X Cameras, its latest high-resolution professional DSLR. Sporting an imaging sensor with double the number of photography of the popular D3, the 24.5 megapixels digital cameras D3x includes similar features such as a 3.0", 920,000 dot LCD monitors with Live View, 51-point autofocus, EXPEED image processing and HDMI output. To keep up with the demands of stock photography the cameras produces 50MB 14-bit RAW files that can be processed to produce 140MB TIFFs. It also supports Nikon’s wireless system and is compatible with Nikon’s new GP-1 GPS unit.
