Bell Nokia C6-01 will be free with 3-year contract, launches tomorrow

In Canada, Bell will officially launch the Nokia C6-01 tomorrow. We've known that this will happen for almost three weeks now. We've also known that Bell will ask $279.95 of your hard earned cash if you want to get the C6-01 without a contract.

The rest of the pricing for this smartphone wasn't however known until now. If you get the Nokia C6-01 from Bell with a new three-year contract, the handset will be given to you for free. This, in pure Canadian tradition, is by far the best offer – if you're going to get a contract, this is the most advantageous from the perspective of how much you'll need to shell out for the phone.

A two-year contract will get you the device for $229.95, and a one-year contract will let you buy the smartphone for $254.95.

All in all this is pretty decent pricing, then again this is a midrange device meant more to be the successor to the Nokia 5800 than anything else. The C6-01 runs Symbian^3 (‘new Symbian'), has a 3.2-inch 640×360 capacitive AMOLED touchscreen, an 8 MP camera (in fact, it will be the first device offered by Bell to have such a high-res camera) with dual LED flash and 720p HD video recording, Ovi Maps with free worldwide navigation, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, HSDPA, and will come with a 2 GB microSD card preinstalled.
