The Coby Snap HD flipcam has made its way to the FCC today, so you can be sure that it is more or less getting ready to hit the US market in the near/immediate future. Apart from shooting 720p HD video, it can also shoot 1.3-megapixel images, while featuring up to 16GB of storage space – although that largely depends on the use of an SD, MMC or SDHC memory card. There is also a 2″ TFT LCD display for you to check out what you've shot (while doubling as a viewfinder of sorts, of course), an F2.8 lens and TV out functionality via HDMI or component cables. If you want to connect it to the PC, you can do so thanks to the integrated USB connector which has become a somewhat commonplace feature in most mini camcorders these days, so that means one less cable to carry around. We don't think this is going to cost too much, and the lack of Full HD functionality might prove to be a deal breaker for some.
