While working at a nightclub Garber saw two men get thrown out of the club. Rather than just going somewhere else they instead decided to get some revenge by going to their car and grabbing some handguns. They then started firing at the club.
One of the bullets entered Garber’s coat and would have pierced the left side of his chest. But his Droid Incredible was sitting in a pocket in exactly the right position. The bullet hit the phone and the battery managed to stop it dead. Garber walked away unharmed and with a great story to tell, and HTC has a customer for life.
